Miloslav Duffek : ウィキペディア英語版 | Miloslav Duffek
Miloslav Duffek is a former Czechoslovak-Swiss slalom canoeist who competed from the early 1950s to the mid-1960s. He won a silver medal in the folding K-1 event at the 1955 ICF Canoe Slalom World Championships in Tacen.〔(【引用サイトリンク】url=http://www.canoeslalom.net/int/index/index_68.html#2895 )〕 Duffek popularized the bow draw stroke, aka "Duffek Stroke", as an effective means of pivoting a kayak. Before the bow stroke was popularized, only forward and reverse sweep strokes were generally used to turn a kayak. The Duffek Stroke turned a multi-stroke operation into a single stroke, which could then be combined with a forward stroke to continue momentum. ==References==
